WHY DOES YOUR WEBSITE'S LOADING SPEED MATTER IN DIGITAL MARKETING ?

Your websites loading speed is important in your digital marketing for several reasons.

First, if your website takes too long to load or has laggy performance then users will eventually leave the page and go elsewhere - this could be due in part because of how Google ranks websites based on their loading speeds so any delay can cost you traffic!

Secondarily, websites don't just provide information, they also create an environment for visitors that helps them achieve their goals. Visitors are more likely to convert when sites load quickly and give them the chance of reading content or buying products (converting).

WHERE CAN I CHECK MY WEBSITE'S LOADING SPEED

We think that a super easy place to start is on Google's very own platform for this which is you can reach at https://pagespeed.web.dev/

  1. Go to https://pagespeed.web.dev/

  2. Enter your businesses URL into the white box at the top of the page.

  3. Choose between viewing your website's Desktop and Mobile performance.

  4. Give yourself a pat on the back if even one of those is running above 80%. All websites need optimising and that's part of what we do daily.

Great question! There are some things you may be able to do without a developer , if you are managing your own website.

We will be covering more ways to speed up your website in coming weeks, including checking your image sizes and checking for broken links.
